Super Berry Smoothie

Super Breakfast Smoothie

I love a good breakfast smoothie. Who doesn’t? They are quick to make and tasty to start the day with. And there are soooo many options! Berries, mangoes, bananas, green things or a combination? Milk, a bit of juice or coconut water? Ice? Yoghurt? Any other additions like protein powders or something sweet?  The smoothie world really has no end to variety!

I’ve tried so many combinations over the years and am on a bit of a run with this one at the moment. It’s super delicious and not too heavy or creamy which I find they sometimes are. I suspect once mango season rolls around again I will substitute some fresh mango in with the berries and banana but for now my super smoothie is berry based all the way!

I’ve been using a chocolate protein powder too. It adds a lovely background chocolate flavour that works perfectly with the berries. It is an optional ingredient and you can use any flavour you like!
